MODEL
*BHAS : Shelter Type Ventilation Unit

MATERIAL
The casing of our shelter type ventilation units is manufactured from natural anodized aluminium profile. Section panels have 50 mm thickness, external wall is manufactured from 1,00 mm prepainted galvanized steel sheet and internal wall is manufactured from 0,80 mm galvanized steel sheet. Rockwool with 70 kg/m³ desity is used as filliing material. According to customer demand interior Wall can be coated with 1,20 mm lead plate to avoid harmful effects of X-ray. Sections have extremely rigid and leak-proof structure. Statically and dynamically balanced, quiet, efficient double inlet centrifugal fans have been used. Electrical motors have 380V-50 Hz values as standard.
Shelter type ventilation unit’s design allows it to operate in two different ways, such as; when the outside air is polluted with radiation, biologically or with chemical dust and particuls, air will pass through G4 panel filter, F7 bag filter, nuclear type H13 hepa filter, lead seperator and active carbon filter, in normal conditions air will only pass through G4 panel filter.
Shelter type ventilation unit’s both emergency and usual time dampers have spring return and on/off actuators. To operate the device in demanded mode, related damper opens and the other switches to off position. In this way, special filters will not be used in usual times.
To keep 50 Pa positive pressure in shelter, exhaust aspirator should have frequency inverter which is controlled by the pressure sensors inside the shelter.

USAGE
The design of shelter ventilation must provide air in accordance to minimum living conditions of people benefiting from shelter as long as their stay.
Without any physical activity, an adult breathes approximately 0,5 m³/h (maximum 8….9 m³/h) air which have 35 ºC temperature and %95 humidity and contain average %17 O2 , %4 CO2 ve %79 N.
For this purpose, a description about determination of minimum required air, is necessary. In the required air for respiration, the amount of oxygen should not be below %19 and the amount of CO2 should not be above %2. To prevent the leakage of radioactive, biological and chemical dust and particules to inside of the shelter, there should be 50 Pa positive pressure inside the shelter according to outside. The air for shelter, shouldn’t be heated, cooled and humdified. Shelters should have both usual ventilation and protective ventilation systems.
